I want to serve the Lord by what I do and say. By sharing my life with you, I hope that in some way I can point you to a better relationship with Christ.

Charleston, South Carolina

My husband and I had the opportunity to go visit Charleston, South Carolina last week.  We love history and the beauty of the ocean, but Charleston blew us away.  So much in fact that we toyed with the idea of moving there one day.  I even looked up housing in nearby towns and was  surprised at what you could buy for what we own now!

Is it a passing fancy?  Who knows.  I sometimes feel like we can be afraid to chase our dreams because of what other people will say.  I guess the only thing you can do is pray about it and if an extraordinary opportunity popped up, we might consider it.

Day 1-

We arrived in Charleston mid-afternoon on Thursday.  After arriving in our hotel, we decided since in was in the lower 80's that we should head to the beach since it was so nice out.  We drove down to Folley Beach and enjoyed looking at some of the homes near the shore before we got out.  We were a little surprised that you had to pay to park on the side of the road where there was beach access.  It was only a dollar and the machine was not working so we risked parking and walked around the beach for awhile.  Don't worry, we didn't get a ticket.  Whew!

I was surprised at all the shells that littered the beach.
It was really cool!

After walking on the beach, our next stop was Historic Downtown Charleston.
Pictures to follow another day.

How nice that you were able to take this trip together! The ocean is beautiful, and I can understand why you like it so much. And the photos that you took of it are wonderful! I look forward to the upcoming posts about your trip!
