On the small, dainty rose.
The sun glistens on its leaves
And God's love it quietly shows.
The rose is not strong, nor mighty,
It labors not in the cold;
But this beautiful rose is priceless,
And its value is far more than gold.
Some day this rose will bloom,
Its petals will open and shine;
But now it patiently waits
Until it is God's time.
O Christian, will you patiently wait,
Knowing God's timing is right-
Will you let Him mold a masterpiece,
So He can trust you in the fight?
Is your lvoe for God blooming
In a world that is parched and barren;
Are you giving others the Living Water,
Are you trusting the Rose of Sharon?
