This is what God's word says. It is not my words I am quoting here, but God's. Remember, God's word is Truth. I want to start with this text,
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all. "
Do you think you've kept the 10 Commandments?
- Have you ever told a lie?
- Have you ever became jealous and coveted something that someone else had?
- Have you ever lusted after someone else by looking at them inappropriately?
- Have you ever stolen something or taken something home that you were not supposed to?
If God were to judge you by the Ten Commandments on Judgement Day do you think you would be innocent or quilty?
Hebrews 9:27, " And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
Even if you don't believe in a judgement day you still will have to face God for the things you have done here on earth whether you believe in it or not. If I were to step into the middle of I-70 highway in front of a massive truck and say I don't believe in trucks, my lack of belief will not change the reality of what will happen.
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then you are guilty of breaking God's law.
Romans 3:20, "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. "
Romans 10:14-17.
"How, then, shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have notall obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So, then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
You can not have faith, if you do not hear the word of God preached. The Bible says that Faith only comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. That means we need to hear the word of God taught in order for us to be convicted of our sins.
A. First we must all realize that we are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God."
The Bible says we have all sinned. All is everyone. No one is excluded.
What is sin then?
I John 3:4 says, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law." Another way of saying it, "Sin is any deliberate action, attitude, or thought that goes against God. You may think of sin as an obvious act, such as murder, adultery, or theft. Although that's true, sin is also wrongdoing that's far subtler and even unnoticeable at times, such as pride, envy, or even worry. Sin includes both things you shouldn't have done, but did (sins of commission) and things you should've done, but didn't (sins of omission)."

Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
So we are all sinners.
B. Once we realize we are a sinner, we also recognize that because of our sin we deserve God's punishment in Hell.
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
The penaly of sin is death. We do not deserve God's gift, but there is GOOD NEWS!
Romans 5:8 says, "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us."
Christ came to earth as a baby. He died on the cross for our sins and he rose again.
I Corinthians 15:3-4, "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."
C. We must also realize that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to heaven. Our Pastor can not save us, Mary the mother of Jesus can not save us, our parents can not save us, and our church affliliation can not save us. They are all human and a sinner too. Christ was the only one that was perfect. He alone can save us.
John 14:6 says, Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man cometh unto the father, but by me."
D. Once we have come to that knowledge that we are a sinner, that Christ was born, died for our sins and rose again, we can simply call out to the Father to save us.
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved."
God does not care what things we have done in our past. Don't let your past hold you back. He said "whosoever" and that means anyone who calls out to the Lord, shall be saved.
How do you do this? You can simply do this by praying something like this:
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and that because of my sin I am on my way to hell. I know that there is only one way to go to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. I ask you Lord to be my saviour and to forgive me of all my sins. Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen
Do not be afraid of losing your salvation. I can assure you that you CAN NOT. Salvation is not a 10 step program. It is a gift from God.
John 10:27-30 says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one."
I like this verse and especially the example my Bible Study teacher gave us. Imagine this. I am in Jesus' hand, tightly held, and no one can pluck me out of his hand. Imagine God's hand coming along on top of Jesus' hand and holding tightly. We are even more secure now with two hands holding on tightly, never to let go.
I pray that this will help someone who may be struggling with Salavation. Don't believe what false preachers are saying. If they do not preach from the Bible and what it says, then you need to take notice. We must go to God's word, The Bible, to see what it says. People are human and we are all sinners. That includes our church leaders, our parents etc.. If there is no foundation found in the bible and what it says, then there would be no hope at all. You can not pick and choose what you want to hear from the Bible. If there is even 1 false thing, then it would be all untrue and thankfully the Bible is the truth with no error in it.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, please comment here or email me. I would love to pray for you.
